I present here the current list of all described species from Madagascar. This list is regularly updated with new species descriptions, and also seeks to immediately take into account new taxonomic changes. It is intended to be a companion to my list of updates to Glaw & Vences 2007 Field Guide to the Amphibians and Reptiles of Madagascar<\/a>. Note that it does not include marine species, of which several are known. In some instances, it includes notes on taxonomic changes, who they were made by, and their references (e.g. Stenophis<\/em> being split into Lycodryas<\/em>, Phisalixella<\/em>, and Pseudostenophis<\/em>).
